FireWatch Pro ("we," "us," or "our") operates the firewatchpro.watch website and the FireWatch Pro mobile application (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Personal Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, job title, and role within your organization.

Location Data: Location is recorded each time someone checks in (tag scan, tag link, typed tag code or GPS check-in), including check-ins refused for being off-site. It is not collected between check-ins or in the background.

Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with our Service, including pages visited, features used, and timestamps of actions taken.

Communication Data: We record SMS messages, voice calls, and in-app notifications sent through our alert system, including delivery status and responses.

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the information we collect to:

Provide and maintain our fire watch compliance management Service
Send SMS alerts, shift reminders, and escalation notifications
Verify contractor presence at fire watch checkpoints via NFC and GPS
Generate compliance reports for property managers and fire departments
Communicate with you about your account, shifts, and work orders
Improve and optimize our Service

SMS AND VOICE COMMUNICATIONS

By providing your phone number and creating an account, you consent to receive SMS messages and automated voice calls from FireWatch Pro related to fire watch operations, including shift reminders, missed check-in alerts, and escalation notifications. Message frequency varies based on your role and active fire watch assignments. Message and data rates may apply.

To opt out of SMS messages, reply STOP to any message. To get help, reply HELP or contact support@firewatchpro.watch.

HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

Property managers and fire departments as part of compliance reporting
Your contracting company for scheduling and coordination purposes
Service providers who process data on our behalf, listed in full below
Law enforcement or regulatory agencies when required by law

The service providers (sub-processors) we use, and what each one receives:

Base44 — hosting, database, account authentication and backend processing. Handles all data you enter into the app, including your account details.
Resend — transactional email (assignments, bulletins, alerts, support replies). Receives your email address and message content. Resend delivers using Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES).
Twilio — escalation SMS and voice calls. Receives the phone number and message content for those alerts.
Google Maps Platform — address autocomplete and geocoding for property locations. Receives the property addresses entered or looked up.
Anthropic — powers the in-app Blaze assistant. Receives the questions you type to the assistant and the app context needed to answer them. It is not used to train their models.
Stripe — invoices and payments (card, bank account and bank transfer). Receives billing names, billing emails, invoice amounts and the payment details you enter on Stripe's page.
Intuit QuickBooks — our accounting. Receives copies of invoices and payments, with the billing company's name and email.
Amazon Business — ships FireWatch Pro Tags ordered for a company. Receives the company's name and street address.
NERIS / Fire Safety Research Institute — public fire-jurisdiction data used to identify the fire department covering a property. Receives property location only.

Push notifications, when enabled, are delivered through Apple (APNs) on iOS and Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging) on Android.

DATA RETENTION

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our Service. Fire watch compliance records, including check-in logs, communication records, and patrol data, are kept for at least 7 years, because fire departments, insurers or courts may ask for them. If you delete your account, we remove your email address and phone number from your profile and from those records; your name stays on the fire watch records you took part in, because they show who was on watch.

DATA SECURITY

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission, secure authentication, and role-based access controls. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

YOUR RIGHTS

You may request to:

Access the personal information we hold about you
Correct inaccurate information
Delete your account (subject to regulatory retention requirements)
Opt out of SMS communications
